Work with legends : showcasing football icons at global sporting events
Stake and FIFA wanted to shine a spotlight on their partnerships by putting true football icons at the heart of global sporting moments. The objective was simple: use the credibility, history and personality of legends to amplify visibility, generate content and spark fan engagement worldwide. These activations needed to cut through the noise of major events while staying authentic to the players’ reputations and the brands involved.
Double Tap brought two legendary names back into the spotlight in fresh, relevant ways. For Stake and the F1 Team KICK Sauber, we partnered with Edgar Davids at the Monaco Grand Prix, creating content that highlighted his experience on the track. Davids appeared across the team’s official channels and shared his own behind-the-scenes perspective with his fans, driving reach far beyond the circuit.
For FIFA, we worked with Franck Ribéry as an official guest during the FIFA Club World Cup in New York. His presence elevated the event experience and offered unique storytelling opportunities around one of football’s most celebrated players. By leveraging the charisma and heritage of these icons, Double Tap helped Stake and FIFA generate content that resonated with global audiences and left a lasting impression.
