The competition
Next summer, the USA will host the newly formatted FIFA Club World Cup, that will feature the most successful clubs from each of the six international confederations: AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC and UEFA.
Rules of the game
32 teams will be competing in the tournament with places distributed like this:
Africa - 4 CAF teams
Asia - 4 AFC teams
Europe - 12 UEFA teams
North and Central America, Caribbean - 4 Concacaf teams
Oceania - 1 OFC team
South America - 6 CONMEBOL teams
Host country - 1 team
The competition will start with a group stage composed of 8 groups of 4, with two teams per group progressing to the Round of 16.
A single-match knockout stages will then follow until the final.
From Brazil to the world
Iran Ferreira, also known as Luva de Pedreiro is a Brazilian content creator. He is one of the most well known creators, with a following of over 22M on Instagram alone.
Luva has, in collaboration with the official FIFA World Cup account on Instagram, posted a reel, presenting three Brazilian clubs that are going to be participating in the tournament: CR Flamengo, Fluminense FC and Palmeiras. The content posted has already surpassed 5M views and 200k likes.
