#PEPTALKS with Carla

Visa, a long-time advocate for the growth of women’s football, further imposed their stance on the importance of using a positive voice to counteract the noise of those who belittle. The current sponsors of the UEFA Women’s Champions League launched a new campaign aimed at connecting with fans online and elevating their experience during the tournament through a virtual FanZone, developed in collaboration with DAZN, a premier sports entertainment platform.

Visa conducted an analysis which revealed that although women's football has become more visible over the years, there's also been a rise in negative social media comments. To tackle this issue and foster positive fan engagement, Visa, a long-time supporter of women's football for 15 years, teamed up with DAZN to introduce various interactive features at their digital fan zone where fans could join in on the action virtually. The campaign also included Team Visa athlete Lauren James, who highlighted the crucial role of fan support during both the highs and lows of the sport.

Carla’s Message

As part of the campaign, our talented creator Carla Gabián joined the movement, posting two impactful #VisaPepTalks on her Instagram. Speaking to her global following, she mentions, “I used to be plagued by self-doubt, worried about criticism and the judgment of others if I failed.”

Highlighting the roadblocks she faced in her past, Carla stresses that “it is never a failure if you fight for it until the end and give it your best.” A powerful message, indeed.

Carla, a pillar in the football content creator space, has amassed a following of millions from all over the world, making her the perfect voice for this important message.
