LiveScore has launched a campaign called Extra, Extra Time to support mental health awareness within the football community, for which Nieve had the chance to sit down with Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov.
Extra, Extra Time
LiveScore are using the extra time in football matches to encourage fans to check in on each other’s mental well-being. For every key moment after the 90th minute—like a goal, assist, or card—LiveScore will donate £250 to Movember, a charity for men’s mental health.
Dimitar Berbatov, the former Manchester United star, is leading the campaign. Known for scoring a last-minute goal in the 2008 League Cup Final, he understands how important those extra minutes can be. Berbatov is urging fans to take a few extra moments to connect with others, because small actions can make a big difference.
Nieve being part of the movement
This November Dimitar Berbatov joined Nieve, also known as StuntPegg, at the Sobell Leisure Centre in North London to create content the campaign. As part of their collaboration, Nieve interviewed Berbatov, asking him not only about the campaign but also some personal questions, and relieved some of Berbatov’s moves on the pitch.
The interview, now available on StuntPegg’s YouTube channel, highlights the importance of mental health and connects with audiences in an authentic way. Through Extra, Extra Time, LiveScore is turning every thrilling injury-time moment into a powerful reminder to check in on each other, both on and off the pitch.
