How would you define a perfect match day?

There is nothing more exciting than travelling to see your favourite team and, along the way, experiencing the vibrant culture of a new city. This collaboration between Double Tap, UEFA and Just Eat Takeaway brought exactly this feeling to life through the 'Taste the Action' series.

The goal was clear: Create content that celebrates the cities all around Europe, which are hosting Europa and Conference League matches. Discovering delicious local dishes, experiencing cultures, and capturing iconic cityscapes. This collaboration aimed to blend and highlight this connection in a unique, innovative and engaging way, and Double Tap was present in the pre-production, production and post-production element of the project.

We took the audience on a spectacular journey across some of Europe's most iconic football cities: Amsterdam, Bilbao, Rome, Dublin, Florence, and many more… Our hosts Ana Quiles and Daniyal Khan guided viewers through each city's atmosphere, hidden gems and local food. In every place, they tasted the flavour of the city by trying out the dishes it’s known for.

Each episode was uniquely tailored to the roots of the city and its cuisine, sometimes even enriched by legendary football personalities. In Amsterdam, for example, football icon Wesley Sneijder joined Ana Quiles in a special Just Eat Biro, touring his favourite spots before the AFC Ajax vs Galatasaray match. This engaging episode reached over 700,000 views and enthusiastic fan reactions.

Bilbao offered another unforgettable moment, as our team partnered with local hero and football legend Fernando Llorente. Together, they explored the streets of Bilbao, filled with excitement and tradition, trying pintxos, bacalao and the carolina.

The "Taste the Action" series went beyond the travel guides and has offered fans a different look into host cities. And it’s been a success, reaching a combined total of over 7 million views across the posts and counting!

Alongside the "Taste the Action" episodes, we also engaged directly with football fans on the ground, creating interactive conversations. We asked fans to share with us: Who would be your dream dinner guest? Which footballer would you most want to dine with, and what would you cook for them? And we also tested their football knowledge through various quizzes about the two competitions.

After countless kilometres travelled, local cuisine tried and good football seen, we have Tasted the Action!
