THE FIFA 2026 WORLD CUP HAS ARRIVED. AND WE WERE THERE FROM MINUTE ONE.
It's here. The FIFA World Cup 2026 has officially kicked off, and from the opening ceremony to the final whistle, Day One was everything we dreamed it would be.
Before a single ball was kicked, the Estadio Azteca reminded the world why it is the most iconic football stadium on the planet, as it is the place where Pelé and Maradona won the World Cup in 1970 and 1986. Shakira and Burna Boy took the global stage for the very first opening ceremony of this World Cup, performing the official FIFA World Cup song "Dai Dai" in front of a crowd that was already losing its mind. Then J Balvin walked out and did what J Balvin does, turning the moment into a cultural event, debuting his brand new Air Jordan 4 "Lemonade" collaboration on the biggest stage in the world. Three artists. One stage.
Then the football started.

Mexico 2 – 0 South Africa. The Azteca erupted. The host nation delivered exactly what 100,000 people came to see, and our creators on the ground Mercedes Roa, Aviv Levy, Javi Freestyle,Dare Esparza, Jesus Elizondo and the Dutch goalkeeper were right in the middle of it all, capturing every single moment as it happened. The energy, the goals, the noise. You felt it through the screen.

And back in Miami? The Creators House was already on fire.
Yesterday we launched our 40-day livestream and the house came alive from the jump. Footebate and Gxl Paulinho and more filled the room with predictions, challenges, reactions and pure good energy. Day One of the stream and it already felt like something special.
This is why Double Tap's Creators House is not just a place to watch the World Cup, but a place where the World Cup actually lives. Every game. Every day. Every creator brings their world to yours.
We are 40 days from the final whistle. And we are just getting started.
